AW10 MEN: GRAIN VIRGIN

Upgraded Inside and Out.

Grain Masthead

Although the Grain work-shirt has been in the Denham collection since the first season, it's been steadily improved with each new edition.  The AW10 Grain Virgin is the poster-boy for the new range of Grains that also includes a washed denim model, a plaid version and three garment-dyed fishbone twill variations.

For the new season the Grain features a host of upgrades.

  • Military blind button breast pocket flaps.
  • Rugged riveted trumpet-buttons along the closure and at the epaulets.
  • Articulated pre-curved sleeves with dart-point-compression disks fully stitched through the fabric.
  • Triple chain stitch along the main construction seams as well as the yoke assembly.
  • Fully turned and stitched fishbone contrast self fabric bar-tacked at intervals and used as the sleeve roll tethers.
  • Contrast fishbone fabric on gussets, boxed-button holes and blind collar button-holes.

The Virgin denim version in particular has enough substance and body to allow it to be use like a shirt-jacket.  Ok, ok.  We know combining it with a dead-stock 70's knit necktie might be overstating the case a little.  But you get the idea.  It works as a shirt or as a second wardrobe layer.
