For AW11 The Commission Trench carries forward its inventive Tri-Swing Action Back construction but the big story is the fabrication. A further refined variation of the coated twill quality introduced in last season's Courier jacket, the material used in this season's Commission aso features a backside surface treated with a ceramic-based water resistant breathable coating.
This ceramic inner coating has been produced in a deep saturated brick color in contrast to the jacket's classic tobacco exterior and complimented by its silver-grey inner seam taping. Metal hardware includes rugged Talon zippers in antique copper as the main closure as well as on the vertical chest pocket and the key-and-coin pocket positioned above the left hand-stuffer pocket. Solid copper button-rivets and antiqued metal pit-vent disks complete the hardware arsenal.
The Commission has also been equipped with a full interior button-set allowing it to combine with the new AW11 Rogue Liner to create a rugged and warm insulated winter jacket. The Rogue Liner's mix of black and tobacco blends seamlessly with the color and texture of the Commission and the Liner's genuine black shearling collar-edge nestles in snugly behind the Commission's traditional stand-fall collar.
