Great customer service lies at the heart of our values, because without you, our loyal customer, there would be no DENHAM. We strive to make the best possible garments that last as long as possible, but know that nothing lasts forever. So when you buy a pair of DENHAM jeans, we guarantee we will help you look after them as consciously as possible. To solidify this, we offer a range of complementary services such as free repairs, washing & care tips and street washing as we are 100% invested in having a positive impact all round.
We know that when you find a pair of great jeans, you’ll want to wear them for life. So when you purchase a pair of DENHAM jeans, we will help you take care of them through our Service Co. Our all-in-one denim maintenance shop is located in several of our key retail hubs across the globe, including our Denim Bar in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and our Ginza Six store in Tokyo, Japan.
Fully equipped to handle all your repairs, alterations and laundry service, our staff are specially trained to give your denim the love and treatment it deserves. They’ll stitch, darn, hand-wash and reinforce each pair of jeans by hand so it can continue on its journey for as long as possible. Our team also takes note of natural wear patterns that develop over time, which serve as our biggest inspiration in developing new washes.
Just like a true atelier, Service Co. units are equipped with vintage sewing machines by Union Special and Singer from the USA and Germany, which have been expertly restored.
SAVE WATER / STREETWASH
True denim heads know that you don’t need to wash your virgin jeans every week - in fact, washing them every month is too often! We usually recommend that you wait six months between washes, giving you enough time to break in the fabric and develop your own custom wear pattern.
In order to make sure your DENHAM jeans last as long as possible and have a life as full as you do, we have our very own DENHAM Service Co.’s laundry treatment. Designed to gently remove the build-up of dirt, grime and dust from your jeans, it’s all done skillfully by hand. We only ever wash your jeans inside out, to maintain the wear patterns and to remove the dead skin cells that build up on the inside (gross, we know!). Our hand-wash is also the best way to ensure your jeans retain their rich, dark colour, as it usually does not remove too much indigo.
Every wash service also includes a close inspection of the jeans, so that we can identify any areas that may need some extra loving care in the wear-and-tear department. Post-wash, jeans are hung out to dry for two days in the ideal temperature, so they feel clean, fresh and crisp when you get them back.
There are multiple benefits to hand-washing your jeans: it saves on water and detergent from regular machine washing - plus spinning from a machine can wear out the fabric faster. Hand-washing is a more gentle and sustainable alternative, which lets you treat our quality products with the love and care they deserve. But remember - six months is the golden rule when it comes to washes! The longer you wait, the more dirt will accumulate on them and start to damage the fabric.
FREE REPAIRS FOR LIFE
Did you know that every pair of selvedge DENHAM jeans comes with a life-time service guarantee? All repairs on virgin or selvedge DENHAM jeans are complementary, whether they need to be stitched, darned or patched. Just bring them to a DENHAM store with a Denim bar and we will fix them right up for you!
We also offer repairs on non-DENHAM jeans as well, for an additional small fee. Just pay a visit to one of our selected stores across the globe or contact our Customer Care service team for all the details.
Please bear in mind that while we can repair nearly any type of jeans, we mostly work on virgin (raw) denim. Why? Because at a certain point in time, generally after multiple years of wear, stretch denim will reach the end of its lifespan, as it will have become too thin or stretched out to repair. But don’t worry, we have launched a new denim recycling programme that is currently being tested in the Netherlands to extend the lifespan of all our jeans to make sure none of our products goes to waste.
