OUR RESPONSE TO COVID-19
As the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) has become a global pandemic, together we face unprecedented challenges. Our thoughts are with everyone whose lives have been impacted by the outbreak - especially those in the healthcare sector. In support of those fighting against the virus, our stakeholder Trendy Group donated 1.3 million euros (10 million yuan) to the city of Wuhan at the end of January. This donation is being used for the prevention, detection and treatment of COVID-19 and the purchase of medical materials, supplies and subsidies.
DENHAM also donated 15,000 surgical face masks to healthcare institutions across The Netherlands in March to bolster local medical supplies.
The health of our employees, partners and customers remains our top priority, which is why we have decided to temporarily close all our stores in Japan, The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. We previously closed our stores in mainland China in late February. All of these stores have recently reopened under adjusted opening hours according to local legislation. In addition, all of our HQ employees in Amsterdam and Tokyo are working remotely from home until further notice. We remain on hand to answer any questions you may have.
We will continue business online, operating in line with advice from the World Health Organization (WHO) and local health experts. We are working closely with our logistic partners to ensure the correct health, hygiene and safety standards are being followed for delivery and returns. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and make the right decisions if and when needed.
Now more than ever, we need to stand together and support one and other by keeping distance. We encourage those who can offer assistance to help out wherever possible in their local communities, so we can all stay healthy and safe. Together we will get through this.
